Who we are

At Gaff Plumbing and Heating, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site, and all our customers. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing. In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online in order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.

What information do we hold?

 When you contact us to work for you we will keep your Name, address, phone number and e-mail address on file in our office in Crayford.  We do not use mailing list and will never sell your information to another company.

 The computer does not leave our office and it has up to date anti-virus software loaded on to it.  Once a month all the information is backed up on to a memory stick with is kept in a locked draw in the office in Crayford.  We are by law required to keep this information for 6 years.

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.gaffheating.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Contact us form

Completing our contact or quote forms may result in a response to your enquiry but will not result in you receiving additional marketing information from us. We do not use information received via our forms for direct marketing and do not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer Clare Gaffney at gaffplumbingandheating@outlook.com

Phone.

We do not keep a record of any phone numbers linked to your name on the phones. Once a week the memory of any calls are wiped from the phones.

Jobs proceeds and Quotes.

When you contact us for a quote we keep your phone number, email and address on the quote sheet that then when accepted, gets transferred on to our lap top computer to be used for invoicing. For un- proceeded quotes we keep them on our quote sheet folder for three months in which time you may receive a phone call or e-mail to see if you would like to go ahead with the job.

We will contact you to remind you that your boiler needs a service if this is a service you have opted in to. You can opt out at any time by e-mailing us with a request to do so.
